Our first full month in office this fiscal year and we have been very busy updating the membership roster, transitioning the board of directors, and planning for the new year. We still have a long way to go. We need a secretary to contribute to our monthly board meetings and technical meetings. This position takes about two – four hours per month and is an excellent way to contribute to a very worthy cause. My personal experience with the Alaskan Chapter IMA has been very rewarding and I encourage any member interested to GET INVOLVED.

As always, don’t be too annoyed when I call you this month, this is the month I have pledged to give every Alaskan member a call to touch base, verify/update the membership roster and also ask if there is anything we can be doing to better serve you.

We, as a Board of Directors, are rearing to go with a lot of energetic talent. Help to cast this talent into a product that you can use to the best of your advantage by contributing at any of our Board meetings, technical meetings, Saturday Seminars, or by contacting any of our board members. I want to know our energies are going towards something valuable to you.

Don’t forget to relax, enjoy yourselves, your family and friends these short Alaskan summer months, especially the 4th of July. Our hearts and prayers will be with all who have served, this patriotic holiday.

Also, remember the July 24th picnic. Good food, great people, and some pretty darn good entertainment. I am looking forward to ‘spicing’ up the menu this year. Bring your families and camera – we always have a great time!
